Downeast Wind and Apex Clean Energy invite local trades contractors, as well as retail, and hospitality vendors, to join us for dinner, drinks, and a presentation about the construction process for the Downeast Wind project.
Through 2023 and 2024, the Downeast Wind project will be in the construction phase. Construction presents many job opportunities, as well as hundreds of workers who need places to stay and eat. Some of the jobs and services needed as part of wind farm construction include (to name a few):
- General laborers
- Lodging
- Food, including restaurants and catering
- Indoor storage
- Office space
- Cleaning services
- Hardware and supplies
- Vehicle rentals, vehicle and equipment maintenance
- Heavy equipment operators, heavy equipment rentals
